All broadcast video master tapes have a fixed sample rate of 48kHz. So it makes sense to choose 48kHz for all field recordings and offline digitising. Non-broadcast projects have different requirements - audio CDs, for example are fixed at 44.1kHz.

All our edit systems are able to operate at all the standard frequencies of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, and 192 kHz with all the standard word lengths of 16, 20 and 24 bits.

We also are able to pull-up or pull-down all other sample rates to enable all the film and non-standard rates to be converted easily. We have various algorithms, to suit your material, to dither source word length to your requirements.
